I can't get this to rotate, just had to show you Patrick's mischievous look in his class photo
Patrick has always declared himself the goalie even at the stage when no one is supposed to really be the goalie, so this might be one way we'd continue with soccer... if he could have this position.
I am realizing that he might not get that tired if he is official goalie though.... he got to try this out at a little mini soccer festival last weekend.
Kids getting another use from the wedding clothes, mass on Mother's Day.
Kindergarten tug of war, Patrick's class won as he is telling everyone. There is an army unit or something attached to the school so the soldiers come out for field day to help out. Sean said that Patrick was probably going nuts when they pulled up in the Humvees with the gun things on top. Sorry Patrick, Daddy isn't in that part of army...
Where's Waldo? Patrick is on the left side with a black and white hat covering most of his face.
Fun with ribbons!
Zoo field trip.... MCS uniforms match the zoo uniform (other random kids in the photo too).
Cheese! Patrick's good friend Charlie behind him is so chill.
Baby chimp always gets a crowd.
Sweet kindergartners... hope they are all still here in 8th grade!
And this is his favorite part of soccer... the participation medal.
My monkey. I took ice cream to the 4th grade and Patrick was also out on the playground then. Lots of energy out there, wow.
Face paint before the race. Kind of smeared after the sweaty race...
Ready to go?
Eating pizza while I sweated it out with Anna?!
Getting face paint while I sweated it out? Half-zebra she told me.
Whoo-hoo, another participation medal! She worked hard for this one though.
Great group of girls!
Okay, now for the yard portion of the photo stream. I decided to dig out these overgrown plants that just traps leaves and garbage. I thought I could put in my hydrangea bushes there instead. Well, it was no small task, look at that root that I cut through with a shovel. My shoulders hurt as I type this. I got most of it out, will get the yard men to finish the job, maybe in phase two. I like to walk around and show Sean "stage two". I'm sure he is rolling his eyes but at least he isn't playing a role in phase two. There are just a lot of overgrown bushes or picker bushes that need to go and be replaced with something prettier.
My latest yard toys. Snake boots! I no longer fear having a snake bite my ankle. I will still run and scream if I see a snake but I am no longer on paranoid high alert every time I prance through the ivy to water flower boxes. And then I got myself a saw for the bigger branches I need to trim. I will hire tree guy to do the big stuff... phase two....
This was a surprise I found in the back beds, love them! I'm sure my mom knows what they are, I call them pink flowers.
