Entertaining the Boy
We try to breed stereotypes about here so we've been playing catch and chase the ball with Patrick in the house. I don't see any drawbacks to encouraging him to throw a ball in the house, do you??
You might as well join in because he is going to throw the ball in the house weather even if you tell him not to. He is a boy. I have a boy, as you know, and even after telling him over and over not to throw the ball in the house it happens daily. Now we have nerf goal on the front closet door and have a family game of basketball right in the living room.
